Weatherlink Live - Health Data
« on: April 21, 2020, 03:25:40 AM »
Users of Weatherlink Live uploading to Weatherlink.com will now see that under the wrench/spanner menu there is now a Health Data menu option, which provides info for details like battery status, packet reception, RSSI (transmitter signal strength) etc. This is also available for all Enviromonitor systems, though I doubt that there are many EM users regularly tuning in here.

I don't know, but would not necessarily expect this information to be extended to older upload devices in the future.

Also, I haven't looked at the v2 API documentation yet today but if it's not there already then maybe this health info will be available via the API too in the near future.

Just had a quick glance and it is there in the weatherlink.com data_structure_type=14 with all sorts of health info (which I don't fully fully understand, like 3 different flavours of RSSI) in the example, but like solar panel voltage which could be interesting. Maybe this was there before and I just never noticed? And actually I think the example shown is for EM because it includes things like number_of_neighbours and cell_id, would be interesting to see the corresponding example for WLL.

But also just to reiterate, this is for WLL and EM only AFAIK and for the wl.com v2 API and not the WLL local API.

ah, OK, so would need to pull that down periodicly from the cloud (weatherlink.com) to use it (since its not available to local api)
using the users v2 api key etc
