Problem with dayfile
« on: August 24, 2024, 07:26:14 AM »
Recently, the dayfile is not updating. The same minimum and maximum for most weather variables appears every day.  This problem began after PC was shut down for several days.

Tell us more about your Cumulus installation. There are several ways & versions that can all be called Cumulus. So are you running CumulusMX, or an older version?  I'm guessing you are running it on a Windows PC, but is it as a Service or Interactively?

If you need some tips, click this link: https://www.cumuluswiki.org/a/MX_on_Windows_OS#Parameter_for_adding_debugging... and scroll down/search for the heading "How to run MX" and review that section for a setup that looks familiar.

Hi JCA432,
As Graham asked, we need some more information.
If you have a website, a link to that will be a good start.
If you zip and attach the Cumulus diags files that will be very helpful to analyse the issue, or
the Cumulus support forum is an excellent resource for posting questions https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/index.php

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi,
The start up seems ok including WLL Health, but then it starts to miss a WLL broadcast.

This may be an issue for CumulusMX developer Mark at the Cumulus forum unless he checks in here.  However looking at the MXdiags, your settings are that you are using station type 11 Weatherlink Live, but I also see Weatherlink Console mentioned.  Do you have the Weatherlink Live device 6100 or the Weatherlink Console device 6313?
Did you make any setting changes to CumulusMX after your PC was restarted?

Enjoy,
Paul

I have both Weatherlink live 6100 and Weatherlink console 6313.

Cumulus worked well before an extended PC shutdown for several days.  When I restated my PC and Cumulus the problems began

Hi,
Your CumulusMX version 3.26.0 b3248 has had several updates, including to the new version 4, but I don't think that would be the cause.

It looks like you also have addition sensor or transmitters and is more complicated than I have experience with.  Possibly some things changed on your PC or network.  You could go through each item in the Station settings to make sure they are all correct - i.e. Weatherlink.com API details and Primary sensors.

You may get more experienced reply by posting on the CumulusMX forum https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=40

Enjoy,
Paul
